Convert diagram images into fully editable Visio, PowerPoint, and draw.io files

What LayerBack does

LayerBack rebuilds diagram images as native, editable files. Upload a screenshot of a flowchart, architecture diagram, UML, ER diagram, org chart, or network topology, and get back:

  • VSDX — native Visio shapes with bound connectors
  • PPTX — native PowerPoint autoshapes and connectors
  • draw.io XML — clean, uncompressed, ready to keep editing
  • SVG / PNG — rendered previews

Every element is a real object: shapes move, connectors follow, text edits.

Converting a diagram

  1. Go to Convert and upload a PNG, JPEG, or WebP (up to 20 MB).
  2. Watch the pipeline run — OCR, structure recognition, connector tracing, topology verification, export. Usually 30–60 seconds.
  3. Preview the result, download any format, or click Edit online to fine-tune in the built-in editor. Edits re-export for free.

Credits

Converting and previewing is free and needs no account. Downloading or editing a conversion costs 10 credits (once per diagram) and includes every output format; failed conversions never cost anything. API conversions are charged when the job is created. See Pricing for plans.

Programmatic access

Use the Conversion API to convert images from your own code or workflow. Create a key under Settings → API Keys first.
